Wireless Weather Monitor II® with Solar Power
This product has been discontinued.
This product is discontinued as of April 2007.
Pre-assembled sensor array includes anemometer, rain collector, radiation shield with temperature/humidity sensor, weather-resistant shelter, and galvanized steel mounting pole. Transmitter uses 900 MHz low-power radio waves -- no FCC license required. Typical range is from 100' to 400' (30 m to 120 m) depending upon the structural features of the building.
Includes Weather Monitor II console with barometer, plus SensorLink transmitter and receiver, pre-installed solar panel, regulator circuit, and rechargeable battery. Also includes AC power adapters and one 3-volt lithium battery.
Add additional console/receivers to view weather conditions in more than one location. Because regulations vary, Wireless Weather Stations may not be available outside the USA.
In 2001, the National Weather Service adopted a new standard for calculating wind chill. This station uses the older standard in place prior to that date. For the newer formula, see our Vantage Pro line of weather stations or add our WeatherLink datalogger and software package. WeatherLink calculates and displays windchill using the newer formula, no matter which weather station you have.
Available in two versions:
- US (United States): US version uses US radio frequency from 902 to 928 MHz (on units equipped with wireless transmission) and a 0.01" rain collector. Station reports in US standard units. Includes US power adapter.
- USM (United States, metric): US/Metric version uses US radio frequency from 902 to 928 MHz (on units equipped with wireless transmission) and a 0.2mm rain collector. Station reports in Metric units. Includes US power adapter.
